I attempt to make pan seared duck breast for our belated valentines day dinner...



its like thanksgiving/Christmas all over again! i love cranberries, but i don't think the PC frozen ones are best for making cranberry sauce. Here I combined
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
4 cups cranberry
The sauce turned out to be too sour for my taste... plus i made WAY too much for two! However, it taste much better with the addition of orange zest.



For the duck breast, I scored the skin, rubbed it with salt & pepper, and seared until it is brown and crispy.

Now its time to get back to Renaissance history..

三個巴黎旅人說著幼稚園程度的法語穿街走巷搭地鐵 :D

去了羅浮宮, 凱旋門, 香謝利舍大道, 聖母院, 塞納河 ...

興致勃勃想走走法國小店尋寶, 差點被排山倒海的 LV GUCCI CHANEL HERMES 淹死. 很精美, 很奢華, 可是找不到我期待的那份氣質. 我比較喜歡巴黎左岸, 據說塞納河右岸是金錢和權力的像徵, 而左岸是文化藝術的匯聚點. 人也比較有善.

巴黎除了宏偉奢華的皇宮, 坐舊式地鐵 (天啊, 地鐵要手動開門!) 再轉火車可以去到近郊的 La Valle Outlet. 有雖然店鋪不多, 有 Paul Smith, Agnes b, Lancel, Burberry, Armani, Longchamp... 卻在 Ferragamo 感受到要買東西的衝動 結果買了一雙找了很久的悠閑鞋, 我很喜歡 :D

近況

最近在看林夕的書為心靈洗禮
就如"火星空姐" 說的,我們沒有辦法不愛林夕
放假的日子很清閒 (頭上開始生蘑菇..)
但這兩天要處理的煩心事真令我大開眼界...
儘管心中有事無事, 總是缺了點甚麼, 大概就是你吧

那天跟要好的MANDY上街兩個成年人在尖沙嘴瘋瘋顛顛...(被歧視啦.)
可是我們很快樂 :D :D :D
